4th Royal Fusiliers were part of 9 Brigade, 3rd Division and in the Spring of 1916 had been involved in heavy fighting in the southern part of the Ypres salient. John Treadaway died of wounds on 6th April having been evacuated back to a base hospital at Wimereux on the coast but as yet there is no information as to exactly where and when he was wounded. |
